しかし、「雨」は弱かったり、強かったり、突然降ったり、パラパラ降ったり、色々あります。それを英語で言えると、日本の雨の季節も相手にイメージしやすくなると思います。

由来：一つの説ですが、イギリスでまだ下水道がなかった時代、大雨の日は良く猫や犬などの小動物が急流に持ってかれて溺れていたそうです。翌日、水が引くと、道端にその猫や犬たちが沢山死んでいることを言ったそうです。まるで「猫と犬が天から降ってきたみたい」という意味です。
天気予報で使われる「雨」の表現
