マイケル・ブーブレとブライアン・アダムスがデュエットで歌う『After All』という名曲があります。英語でよく使うafter allは“after all is said and done”の略だそうです。別の言い方をすると、“in spite of everything”「いろいろあった上で」になります。日本語にすると「結局」や「やはり」が近い意味になります。基本的には「あげくのはて」、「最後におちつく状態」を表します。
